Deathly Hallows Will Be “Bloody” And “Gory”

As the Harry Potter films advance to their final conclusion, we can expect the action and the plot to get steadily darker in their content.

Speaking to the SnitchSeeker, the Harry Potter news site, Matthew Lewis who plays Neville Longbottom revealed the Deathly Hallows are unlike any other previous film, “The previous ones have had a formula: You go to school, bad things happen and he [Harry] sorts it out and jobs a good en'... But in this year it’s all completely different. They're [the trio] not in the school for a start and, literally, it's such an epic battle. It’s like something from the Lord of the Rings.”

Matthew adds, “And David [Yates, director] as well and Steve Kloves [screenwriter] haven’t shied away from the more severe stuff in it that was in the book. It’s bloody and it’s gory and it’s very real.”

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I will be released in November and Part II is due to be released in July 2011. See a trailer here!
