Okay fellas, we don’t want to over excite you this early in the day, but we hear the very definition of red-hot, Megan Fox, is the number one choice of actress to play the role of Red Sonja.The film’s producer, Robert Rodriquez, is hoping that with Megan Fox as the lead, interest in his movie will soar. For those of you not acquainted with Red Sonja let us introduce you. Red Sonja is a fictional female barbarian, who wields a sword with deadly accuracy and um, wears a chainmail bikini. Geek-tastic fact: She first appeared in Conan the Barbarian #23 (Marvel Comics)
The Red Sonja remake has suffered repeated delays in starting production; from financial issues to actresses departing (originally Rodriquez’s former fiancée Rose McGowan was set to play Sonja, but she opted for Conan instead).
The original Red Sonja (1985) starred Brigitte Nielsen and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
We’ll make a prediction - we’re very good at them. If Megan Fox decides to jump on board the Red Sonja production, Rodriquez can rest assured the film will make millions.
